Tahko’s story began in 1968, when Nilsiän Matkailu Oy was opened the first ski slope . In the 1970s, the first ski lift and also the first hotels and cottages were completed. In the 1980s and 1990s, accommodation and program services developed significantly. The 1995 European Snowboarding Championships were organized in Tahko, the first golf course and riding center were opened. Now Tahko is a large and versatile ski resort, where every body will surely find something to do.
